    Educational outreach exhibits sharing stories and photos on the history of the island. Displays are located in the heart of downtown near the Boca Beacon.
  • Let’s Talk About Florida – All Levels
    Zoom Book Talks. Where we talk about books on Florida history with moderators. A lively conversation depicting literature regarding Florida’s heritage.
  • Lecture Series – All Levels
    Educational presentations featuring historians, authors, researchers, and experts who explore the history, heritage, culture, conservation, and unique characters of Boca Grande, Gasparilla Island, and Florida.
  • Island Memories – All Levels
    Engaging discussion of cherished island memories told by those who have deep roots in Boca Grande.
  • History Bytes – All Levels
    Our signature program showcasing firsthand accounts of life on the island every Wednesday in February at the Johann Fust Library loggia.
  • From the Archives – All Levels
    Every photograph, document, artifact, and story helps tell the story of Boca Grande. Sponsorships help us preserve and protect these valuable collections through proper storage, digitization, cataloging, and conservation so they can be shared with residents, visitors, students, and future generations.
  • History First – All Levels
    Extended hours at the History Center every first Saturday from October to July where we offer a great visit for weekend guests from 10AM-4PM.
  • History After Hours – All Levels
    Upon request a personal docent tour with extended hours at the History Center supporting programs and activities.
  • Exhibits & Technology Updates – All Levels
    Making things current with rotating exhibit kiosk and continuous technology updates
