  • Hurricane Ian Documentary – Steward Level +
    BGHS has reprioritized our major projects for the year to document how Hurricane lan impacted our island through captured footage and oral history accounts of this historic event.
  • Lecture Series – All Levels
    – The History of Boat Building on the Gulf Coast of Florida, presented by John Pether, Gulf Coast Maritime Museum
    – Weeds and Seeds: A History of Dining in Southwest Florida, presented by Natalie De La Torre Salas, MA, RPA, Florida Public Archaeology Network
  • Pop Up Exhibits – All Levels
    Educational outreach exhibits sharing stories and photos on the history of the island. Displays are located in the heart of downtown near the Boca Beacon.
  • History Bytes – All Levels
    Our signature program showcasing firsthand accounts of life on the island every Wednesday in February at the Johann Fust Library loggia.
  • From the Archives – All Levels
    A members-only publication sharing local history through articles, photographs, and artifact collections.
  • History First – All Levels
    Extended hours at the History Center every first Saturday of the month supporting programs and activities from 10AM-4PM.
  • History After Hours – All Levels
    Extended hours at the History Center every third Thursday of the month supporting programs and activities from 4-6PM.

Sponsorship Levels

  • Legacy – $10,000 or more/year
  • Champion – $5,000 to $9,999/year
  • Advocate – $2,500 to $4,999/year
  • Steward – $1,000 to $2,499/year
  • Wayfinder – $500 to $999/year
  • Lifetime Supporter
