Under the shade of 200 year old oak trees, explore historic buildings and travel back in time to experience pioneer life in early Southwest Florida.

Authentic Wiggins General Store (wheelchair lift to second floor), Fogarty Boatworks, Courthouse, Church, One room school house, Settler’s home and Steam engine, 1850’s Burying Ground. Replicas of a typical Florida barn, Blacksmith shop, Turpentine still, and restored Smokehouse. Also museum exhibits.

Cortez VillageCortez Village
One of the last remaining working fishing villages on Florida’s SW Gulf Coast. Explore Florida’s rich maritime heritage from pre Columbian settlements to the modern era in the Cortez Cultural Center.

Visit the Maritime Museum housed in the 1912 school house where you will find the Banks shell collection, ship models, historic boats and an enthralling butterfly garden.

Be entertained by the Main Hatch Motley Sea Shanty Singers who carry on the tradition of singing salty sea songs.
